KEISHA DAWES

"Paris rots from the inside... but I won’t let her die without a fight."

Keisha “Spider” Dawes, like Eddie, hails from Jamaica, where her life had always been intertwined with the mystical and the supernatural. Her grandmother, a renowned obeah woman, taught her the secrets of voodoo magic and the art of communing with spirits. With a fierce independence and a natural affinity for the dark arts, Spider embraced her role as a conduit between the living and the dead. However, political unrest and increasing conflict over her practices led her to flee Jamaica, setting her sights on the European city of Paris, a place she believed would offer refuge.

But Paris, especially the St. Denis area, was nothing like the dream she envisioned. The St. Denis district, once vibrant, had devolved into a grim wasteland. Tents were strewn about, barely holding together against the wind, and the narrow streets were clogged with refuse. The air was thick with the stench of desperation, as illegal immigrants, beggars, and criminals alike tried to survive. The once bustling streets were now rotting under the weight of poverty and lawlessness. Spider felt as though she had walked into a nightmare—a cesspool that threatened to suffocate her spirit.

It wasn’t long before she and Eddie found Cimetière de Calvaire. The long-forgotten cemetery and its adjoining church seemed to call to her. Nestled on the outskirts of Montmartre, it had been left untouched by the city's chaos, swallowed by vines and shadows. Inside the crumbling church, Spider constructed her voodoo altar, arranging skulls, bones, charms, and candles in intricate patterns. The spirits of the cemetery became her guides, whispering secrets of the future.

It was during one of these rituals that Spider had a dark vision—a terrifying glimpse of Paris’ downfall. In her vision, the decay that had consumed St. Denis would spread like a plague, seeping into every corner of the city, unless the force behind it was stopped. She sensed a malevolent presence lurking in the shadows, pulling strings to bring Paris to its knees. Now, Spider works feverishly at her altar, mixing potions, speaking to spirits, and deciphering ancient prophecies, hoping to uncover the identity of this dark force before it’s too late.

Every day, Spider grows more convinced that she is the only one who can stop the looming disaster. The spirits guide her, but the task is daunting—if she fails, Paris will descend into darkness. With Eddie by her side, Spider prepares for the spiritual battle ahead, using their sanctuary at Cimetière de Calvaire as the base for her research, spells, and rituals. Time is running out, and only through her mastery of voodoo can she hope to change the fate of the city.
